BELTON, Texas- The Howard Payne University volleyball team lost 3-0 to No. 9 University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Friday evening.

The Lady Jackets lost in three straight sets to the nationally ranked Cru. Scores of those sets were 25-14, 25-12, and 25-13.

Mya Ross had eight kills for HPU, followed by Abbie Knepper with six and Rylee Spencer with five. Riley Brittain had 14 assists, followed by Kaitlyn Elsten with eight. Hannah Vega had 12 digs, followed by Sydney Sullivan with 11.

Hannah Frasca had 12 kills for UMHB, and Ella Brunson had 31 assists.

The Lady Jackets will play Concordia Texas on Saturday, Oct. 2nd, in Austin, Texas. The game will start at 1:00 PM.
