ABILENE, Texas – The Howard Payne University men's basketball team was led by
Tyrell Thompson in a 99-57 loss to Hardin Simmons University on Monday night.

Tyrell Thompson scored a game high 14 points and had eight rebounds for the Yellow Jackets in the road loss at Hardin Simmons.
The Yellow Jackets fell behind early on in the first half and trailed 50-24 at the break. Hardin Simmons extended their lead in the second half and Howard Payne was unable to get anything going on the way to the 99-57 loss.

Tyrell Thompson's 14 points for the Jackets was
Michael House with 10 points. Jaylon Ballou added nine points and seven rebounds.
HSU was led by Kyle Brennon with 13 points followed by Steven Quinn with 12 points.
The Yellow Jackets will play next on Thursday, Feb. 25
th at Sul Ross State in Alpine, Texas at 7:30 pm.
