The Howard Payne University volleyball team travelled to Hawkins, Texas to play Jarvis Christian College and University of the Southwest. Howard Payne beat Jarvis Christian 3-1 and fell to University of the Southwest 3-0.
 
Game One
 
Howard Payne dropped the first set 32-30. The Lady Jackets bounced back winning the next three sets by scores of 25-12, 25-16, and 25-22. HPU won the match 3-1, giving them their third win of the season.
 
Mya Ross led the Lady Jackets in kills with 14 followed by Mitsue Rodriguez with 12. Riley Britain had a game-high 29 assists. Chloe Pryor had a game-high 20 digs.
 
Jai Johnson had 14 kills for the Bulldogs. Jayda Trinidad had 20 assists and Chloe Buchanan had 15 digs.
 
Game Two
 
Howard Payne dropped three straight sets by scores of 25-22, 25-22, and 25-17.
 
The Lady Jackets led for a majority of the first set, but could not stop a couple of late runs by the Mustangs.
 
The Lady Jackets were led by Mya Ross with nine kills and 14 digs. Riley Britain had 18 assists.

The Mustangs were led by Dylann Bylund with 14 kills. Evelis Vicenty had 20 assists and Autumn Lopez had 13 digs.

Howard Payne moves to 3-9 on the season. The Lady Jackets will travel to Alpine, Texas to take on Sul Ross in doubleheader starting at 4 pm on Tuesday, March 9th.
