BELTON, Texas- The Howard Payne University men's basketball team, lost to the University of Mary Hardin Baylor 96-66 Saturday afternoon.
Tyrell Thompson had 10 points and 12 rebounds to record a double-double for the Yellow Jackets.
Howard Payne took an early one-point 16-15 lead but were unable to keep things going and trailed by 10 at halftime.Â
The Yellow Jackets could not put anything together in the second half, dropping the last game of the season 96-66.
Mason Green led the Jackets with 14 points, followed by
Tyrell Thompson with 10 and
Jaylan Ballou with nine.
Tyrell Thompson had 12 rebounds, and
Jaylan Ballou had eight.
Ty Prince led the Cru with 26 points and 11 rebounds.
Howard Payne wraps up the season with an 0-18 record. Mary Hardin-Baylor finishes the regular season 16-3 overall and 8-1 in conference play.
