ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Howard Payne University men's golf team finished 3rd overall at the Linda Lowery Invitational hosted by Concordia University Texas at the Teravista Golf Club this week.
In the best tournament finish for Howard Payne this season, the Yellow Jackets finished with a 602 (298-304) to place third overall. HPU led the tournament in Par 5 scoring at -1 (4.98).
Kyle Anderson ended the tournament tied for second overall with a 146 (71-75). Anderson led the field in Par 3 scoring at +1 (3.13). It is his fourth top ten finish of the season.
In his first top ten finish of the year,
Lucas Kinkade ended T-5th with a 147 (75-72).
Kaleb Brown was T-13th overall with a 153 (76-77),
Harrison Hopson was T-26th with a 156 (76-80),
Brady Nelson had a 160 (76-84) to finish T41st, and
Jake Angerstein finished T48th with a 165 (81-84).

The Yellow Jackets will complete next at the West Region Invitational hosted by Southwestern University at the Berry Creek CC in Georgetown, TX on April 3-4.
