DALLAS, Texas -- The Howard Payne Men's and Women's Golf Team both placed 8^th and 9^th overall at the Crusder Cup meet hosted by the University of Dallas in Westworth Village, Texas on Monday and Tuesday.

Starting off with the men's team, Miken Hernandez and Jaxson Hermesmeyer were the top golfers for Howard Payne scoring 160 apiece. Hernandez scored 80 on both rounds, while Heresmeyer shot an 81 in the first, and a 79 in the second. They placed T-34^th.

Peyton Spore followed close behind placing 37^th shooting 161 (83, 78), and Grady Vasquez placed 38^th shooting 162 (82, 80). Mason Guinn shot 165 which placed him at T-43^rd.

For the first time all season, Blaine Onick wasn't the top golfer for the men's side. He placed 45^th while shooting 166 (85, 81). Grant Drummond shot a 167 (88, 79) and placed 46^th overall, with Kaden Potter rounding out the mens side with a T-49^th finish as he shot a 170 (84,86).

On the women's side, Amada Menchaca earned the lowest score for the team shooting a 173 (92, 81) and placing T-11^th. Kelsey Keleman followed her up by shooting a 199 (95, 104) and placing 36^th.

Emilee Garcia placed 41^st overall with a 257 (132, 125) score and Anisa Alfaro rounded out the women's team shooting a 291 (139, 152) and placing 42^nd.

The Yellow Jackets will travel to Annetta, Texas for The ASC Preview hosted by Split Rail Golf Club, which is scheduled for November 1-2.
