Howard Payne women's golf competed at the American Southwest Conference Championship, held at White Bluff Resort in Whitney, Texas, with the tournament hosted by Mary Hardin-Baylor.

With a limited roster, the Yellow Jackets were represented by two individuals competing in the championship field, embracing the challenge of going shot-for-shot against full teams across the conference.

Hope Hermesmeyer led the way for Howard Payne, finishing 23rd overall with a three-round total of +64. Hermesmeyer showed consistency throughout the tournament, carding rounds of +22, +23, and +19, closing with her strongest performance in the final round.

Emilee Garcia followed with a 26th-place finish, posting a total score of +110 across the three rounds. Garcia recorded scores of +42, +32, and +36, showing improvement from her opening round and continuing to battle through a demanding championship setup.

Competing as individuals in a conference championship environment, both Yellow Jackets demonstrated resilience and determination, representing Howard Payne with composure throughout the three-day event.

Head Coach Morgan Lucas praised the effort and mindset of her players following the tournament.

"We asked a lot of them this week, competing without a full team in a championship setting, and they responded the right way," said Lucas. "Hope gave us steady rounds and finished strong, and Emilee showed real toughness bouncing back after her opening round. I'm proud of how they represented our program from start to finish."
