FORT WORTH, Texas- The Howard Payne University men's soccer team (2-2-1) will wrap up its nonconference slate against Texas Wesleyan University at Martin Field on Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM.

 LAST TIME OUT

The Yellow Jackets drew University of Saint Thomas 0-0 in a tightly contested affair Saturday evening at the Citizens National Bank Field in their home opener. Goalkeeper Adrian Villa made five saves to keep the clean sheet intact for Howard Payne. Connor Parker and Francisco Perez each had two shots on goal, while Kolby Lara and Xzavier Saldana both provided one shot on goal.

SCOUTING REPORT

Texas Wesleyan (1-3-4) comes into the match off a 2-2 draw away at Paul Quinn College. Nicholas Duderstadt is the leader in goals (4), shots on goal (7) and points (8) for the Rams all coming off the bench. The Rams have a consistent rotation in goal, with Rafael Dos Santos playing four games, Alex Orellana playing three games and Noah Epler-McDonnell making appearances in two games. Dos Santos has saved the most shots (20), while Epler-McDonnell has one clean sheet this season.

 AROUND THE ASC

Howard Payne comes into the contest sitting third in the ASC standings currently behind East Texas Baptist and Mary Hardin-Baylor who sit atop the standings tied at 4-2.

Three Yellow Jackets sit in the top 10 for the total amount of shots. Connor Parker is in third (13), Kolby Lara is in fifth (9) and Francisco Perez is in ninth (9). Parker also sits in the top 10 in all of the other offensive categories except for game-winning goals.

Adrian Villa is also in the top five every statistical category for goalkeepers. He is currently second in goals against average (1.63), saves per game (17), and shutouts (1), and sits fourth in saves with as ave percentage of .739.
