Biography

2011- Billy Ray had a 5-5 record on the year in 12 starts on the mound. In his team high 72.1 innings pitched he struck out 35 while only walking 23. He also was 2 of 5 at the plate all coming in one game.

2010- He was 5-5 on the year in 13 appearances, starting in 12. He threw 71.0 innings striking out 45.

HS- He is a 2007 graduate of Uvalde High School where he lettered all four years in baseball. Billy Ray received All-District honors his freshmen and senior year. His team made it to the 2006 4A Baseball State Quarter Finals and to the State Semi-Finals his senior year. Outside of athletics, he was in Student Council and a member of his schools Spanish Club. 

Personal- Billy Ray is a Political Science major and Business minor. He wants to play baseball on the minor league or major league level after graduation. He is the son of Ramiro and Carola Cruz and has two other siblings.
