Summary

Biography

2011- Gilbert went 2-4 in 10 appearances on the mound for the Jackets. He struck out 32 in 34 innings of work and held the batters he faced to a .280 average.

2009-10- Did not play due to injury

2008- Gilbert was part of the Yellow Jackets pitching staff, pitching a total of 8.2 innings. 

HS- Gilbert is a 2007 graduate of Central Catholic High School. He lettered two years in basketball and in baseball. He received All-District honors in both sports and was MVP in basketball for three years. Gilbert pitched a no hitter right-handed against Lee High School and a one-hitter against Smithson High School. He pitched both right and left handed in high school. 

Personal- He is majoring in Accounting and plans to have a career as a Lawyer or a Certified Public Accountant. Outside of baseball Gilbert enjoys cars, playing golf and going hunting. He is the son of Gilbert and Sandi Barrera.
