2013: CJ started in 2 of 14 games played in. He scored eight times in had five at bats also seeing time as a pinch runner. He was also 1 of 2 in stolen bases.

HS/College: CJ is a 2011 graduate of Lone Oak High School in Lone Oak, Texas where he lettered in baseball, football, track, and powerlifting. He helped the football team capture an Area Championship and the baseball teams earn bi-district finalist honors. He earned the honors of 1st Team All-District as a linebacker, 1st Team All-District at wide receiver, a Herald Banner 1st Team Dream Team linebacker and 2nd Team wide receiver. He also received 1st Team All-District honors in baseball. He was a leader on and off the field as being named team captain in both sports and was the Lone Oak FCA President. Academically, he was a member of the National Honor Society.  Prior to arriving at HPU, he attended Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College in Moore, Oklahoma where he played one year for the Saints.

Personal: CJ is from Lone Oak, Texas. He is the son of Dwayne Schumann and Vickie Schumann. He is the proud older brother to a younger sister and a younger brother.  He is an Exercise and Sports Science major, minoring in Biology who has the ambitions of becoming a physical therapist.
