Summary

Biography

2008- Dezell played in all 10 games for the Yellow Jackets. He had 20 unassisted tackles, 70 total. He also ran 2 kick returns for a total of 25 yards.

2007- In Jake’s 9 games played at linebacker, he recorded 6 solo tackles with 24 assisted tackles. 

Mary Hardin Baylor- He played his first year at Mary Hardin-Baylor winning an ASC title, before transferring to Howard Payne. 

HS- Jake is a 2006 graduate of Normangee High School where he lettered all four years in football, baseball and track. With three consecutive playoff appearances, he received many honors including District Defensive MVP, 3rd Team All-State, and Honorable Mention All-State by the AP. Jacob also was offensive MVP and 1st Team All-District as a catcher in baseball. 

Personal- Jake is majoring in Business Marketing and is the son of Scott Dezell. On campus, he has been involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
