Biography

This season was named 1st team All-American, WBCA National Player of the Year, All-Southwest Conference team, 1st team All-West Division ASC, WBCA South Region Player of the Year
 
Meia is in her fourth year as a Lady Jacket and has contributed significantly to the success of the program in her past three years of being there. Her junior and sophomore year, Meia was the team’s leading scoring averaging 16.8 and 21.0 points per game respectively. As a junior, Meia also averaged 6.2 rebounds per game, and 8.5 rebounds per game as a sophomore. 
 
Meia has received the following honors in her time of being at Howard Payne: First Team All Conference 2004-2007; All American Honorable Mention 2005-2007; Regional Player of the Year 2006-2007; First Team All West 2004-2007; Freshman of the Year 2004-2005; Player of the Year 2005-2006; and Female Athlete of the Year 2006-2007.
 
After Howard Payne, Meia plans on attending Law school and possibly continuing her basketball career overseas. 
 
Meia graduated from Fossil Ridge High School of Fort Worth, Texas in May of 2004.
