PINEVILLE, Louisiana – The Howard Payne women's basketball team could not stop a big second half run by Louisiana College falling 74-52 Thursday evening at H.O. West Fieldhouse.

The Lady Jackets would shoot their lowest pct. from the field for the season to trail 37-24 at the break. HPU shot 27% in the first and 25% from the field in the second half.

Howard Payne cut the Louisiana College lead to four, 45-41 with 10 minutes remaining in the game.,From that point, LC went on a 20-0 run to lead 65-41 with five minutes left to play.

Danyel Bradley led HPU with 23 points, eight rebounds, four assists and six steals. Sarahi Castillo followed with 13 points and five rebounds. Sarah Van Remmen grabbed eight rebounds. Yessenia Cazares added five assists and four steals.,Howard Payne was outrebounded 55-35 in the game.

Louisiana College was led by Danisha Allison with a game high 28 points and 13 rebounds. LaToya Evans added 13 points.

Howard Payne is now 12-10 overall and 9-8 in American Southwest Conference play. Louisiana College is now 15-5 overall and 12-5 in conference. Howard Payne will play at home on Monday versus Sul Ross State at 5:30 pm.
