Tyrell Thompson had another career night in a 74-70 conference loss for the Yellow Jackets at McMurry University Thursday evening.

Tyrell Thompson grabbed a career high 16 rebounds along with 18 points in the 74-70 conference loss at McMurry. Thompson also had three steals and four assists in the game.
The Yellow Jackets trailed by 11 with under four minutes left in the game and were able to cut the score to 67-63 McMurry with 2:18 left in the game on a
Michael House three-pointer.
McMurry would go 7 for 8 at the free-throw line down the stretch to secure the game 74-70.
Adding to Thompson's 18 points for the Jackets was Jame Helzer with 18 points and seven rebounds. House finished with 17 points and seven rebounds for HPU.
Jaylan Ballou had four assists.
McMurry was led by Remy Minor with 26 points followed by Shaydon Campbell with 12 points.
The Yellow Jackets will finish this week's road trip at Hardin-Simmons University on Saturday with a 6:00 pm conference game.
