AUSTIN, Texas- The Howard Payne University Men's basketball team fell to conference opponent Concordia University Texas 101-87 on Thursday night.
Michael House had 20 points for the Yellow Jackets. Also scoring in the double digits for Howard Payne was
Tyrell Thompson with 18,Â
Evan Adkins with 16 coming off the bench, and Jame Helzer with 15.
The first half was a back and forth battle between the Yellow Jackets and the Tornadoes. Concordia went on an 11-1 run towards the end of the first half to pull away from Howard Payne making the score 53-42.
The Yellow Jackets were unable to find a spark in the second half leading to a fourteen-point 101-87 loss.
Michael House led the Jackets in points with 20.
Jaylan Ballou led Howard Payne in rebounds with 10 and in assists with five.
Antoine Henderson led Concordia with 21 points and seven rebounds.
The Yellow Jackets will finish out the season on Saturday, March 6th versus Mary-Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas at 3 pm.
