DALLAS, Texas - Today the American Southwest Conference announced the 2025 ASC Men's Golf Preseason Watch List and two Yellow Jackets were selected. Junior Blaine Onick and Freshman Miken Hernandez rounded out the list for HPU.

Blaine Onick - JR - Midland, TX 
Blaine has seen much success for the Howard Payne Golf program as of late. During the Fall season, Onick consistently led his team individually, cementing himself as one of the best not just on the team, but in the entire conference. His previous years saw him hit some highs and lows, but this year, Onick is destined to be the golfer that his teammates and coaches need. 

Miken Hernandez - FR - Andrews, TX 
Miken is a newcomer for Howard Payne, but has already been catching the eyes of his teammates and coaches. He can be seen as someone who hasn't reached his potential just yet, but is inching closer and closer. High praise can come from Coach Troy Drummond as he has big aspirations from his new golfer. During the Fall season, it wouldn't be a surprise if Hernandez was out-performing what others were expecting of him, usually coming in second individually for his team.
