HS: John graduated in 2015 from Rio Hondo High School in Rio Hondo, Texas. He was a 3 year letterman in football where he earned 1st team All-District center in 2012, 2nd team All-District at center in 2013 and 2014. Aside from All-District recognitions, John also earned 2nd team All-Valley (RGV) at center and the Brotherhood Leadership Award in 2014 and was given Offensive Lineman of the Year while being recognized as a Blue-Grey All-American in 2015. When off the field John excelled in the weight room where he was a 3 year letter in powerlifting and was the super heavy weight State Runner-Up in 2014. John is also a Yellow Jacket Scholar.

Personal: John is from Rio Hondo, Texas and is the son of John & Noemi Reyes. He is a criminal justice major with plans on working in forensics.
