2023: Starting in 39 games for HPU, Wert registered 43 hits, three homeruns, 20 RBI, and scored 22 runs. He also notched three doubles and team-best four triples. As a fielder, Wert recorded 105 catches, 100 putouts, and was featured in one double play.

2022: An All-Conference Honorable Mention, Wert finished with a batting average of .330 and recorded 21 runs on 35 hits. He went 6-for-8 in stolen base attempts. As a fielder, he notched 97 catches and 90 putouts.

2021: Appearing in 30 games for the Yellow Jackets, Carson recorded 23 hits in 85 at-bats with two doubles, one home run, and five RBI. He also recorded 16 runs and was 4-for-5 in stolen base attempts.

High School: Carson played two years of varsity baseball for Trinity Christian Academy Willow Park in Willow Park, Texas. Carson helped lead his team to a 2019 State Baseball Runner-up as he was awarded First Team All-District and Second Team All-State. Carson was very involved in athletics as he also played football and track and field. In football, he won the 2018 State Championship while being awarded All-State attributes. In track, he won the 4x400 State Championship. Carson was awarded Academic All-State in 2018 and 2019.

Personal: Carson is majoring in Secondary Education. He is a Children’s ministry helper. His parents are Scott and Brandy Wert and has one sibling.
