Biography

2023: A CSC Academic All-District selection, Howard was HPU’s Outstanding Male Scholar-Athlete as well. He made eight appearances and started two games for the Yellow Jackets recording 15 strikeouts in 15.2 innings pitched. Howard was an Academic All-Conference selection as well.

2022: Appearing in six games for HPU, Howard finished with seven strikeouts through 5.1 innings pitched. He was an Academic All-Conference selection as well.

2021: Pitching in four games for the Yellow Jackets, JT threw 3.1 innings and recorded five strikeouts. He had a season-high three strikeouts at Sul Ross State.

2020: JT pitched six innings of play across six games, recording a strikeout in the season-opener at St. Thomas.

High School: JT played four years of varsity for Hempstead High School in Hempstead, Texas. In 2019, JT was awarded District Pitcher of the Year, academic first team All-State, was Valedictorian of his class. He also played football.
