HS: Sam is a 2012 graduate of Valley Mills High School in Valley Mills, Texas, where he earned the honor of All Valley Mills High School Male.  As a member of the Eagles football team, he help led the team to the 2010 District Championship and the second round of the State 1-A play-offs in 2011. Also, he helped the Eagles basketball team to the state play-offs in 2011. He earned several athletic honors including, 1st Team All-District in football and basketball, Honorable Mention Super Centex football team and Honorable Mention 1-A All-State in football. He was named team MVP and Eagle Pride Player in 2010 and 2011. In addition to athletics, he was a member of PALs.

Personal: Sam is the son of Mark and Martha Callison of Whitney, Texas and has an older sister. He currently is a history major with an emphasis on social studies composite, minoring in kinesiology. Upon graduating college, Sam has the desire of becoming a coach and teacher.
