Myka Allen-Johnson played volleyball at Howard Payne for four years and was an All-American Southwest Conference as an outside hitter as a senior in 1997. As a senior, she led the conference in kills and service aces. She had her No. 5 jersey retired upon her graduation in 1998. After graduation, Allen-Johnson spent five years as a Spanish teacher and head volleyball coach in Mesquite. She then went into real estate in Dallas and within two months, she became the top listing agent at her brokerage. She then moved to Killeen, Texas to marry her husband, Kyle Johnson. She later began selling homes and transitioned to sales manager and then to a sales trainer. After that, she created her own company in Killeen and in 2013, published her first book about real estate.
