Dr. William C. Robbins, former dean of HPU’s School of Social Sciences and professor of psychology, was honored as  "Superfan" for his dedication to HPU athletics and the basketball program. Robbins supported the Yellow Jackets at both home and on the road. He would often take the basketball team to dinner at out-of-town games and open his home to meals and fellowship for athletes throughout the year. Robbins also was a pastor and minister of education at churches across Texas. He was a member of the faculty and coaching staff at Huron College in Huron, S.D. Following his retirement, he served in various locations with the Home Missions Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. He also served as dean of Yellowstone Bible College and as president of Yellowstone Baptist College in Billings, Mont. He died in 2005.
